Myra Smith

Myra Smith was born to Harry & Ella (Rhodius) Albrecht on September 16, 1916 in Selma, Texas. She passed away on February 8, 2009 at her residence in Garden Ridge, Texas at the age of 92. Myra was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest R. Smith; her parents and one sister, Elaine Real. She is survived by her sisters, Lillian Forbrich of Garden Ridge, Rosabel Gerhart & Alice A. Harris, both of San Antonio; nieces, Patty Able, Karen Driver and Janice Hutchison; nephews, Carl Forbrich, Sidney Forbrich, Mike Harris, Jim Harris, Phil Harris, Steve Harris and Gary Gerhart and there are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that Myra held dear and loved deeply. Myra lived her life through her devotion to her church of which she was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma, Texas. She had many interests which she always enjoyed to the fullest: playing cards, playing dominoes, crocheting and visiting with family & friends. Myra was an example to her entire family by the life that she led. Let all that you do be done with love. I Corinthians 16:14. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM (with a Rosary being Recited at 6:30 PM) on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be Recited at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 13, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Mausoleum in San Antonio. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any charity of choice.
