Murray JR D. Baker, Jr., born on September 19, 1930, passed away on October 26, 2011, at the age of 81. He proudly served his country as an RM3 in the United States Navy. Murray was an accomplished and professional Western Swing Guitarist, most recently playing in his band, the River City Four. He was preceded in death by his parents, Murray D. Baker, Sr. and Ethel Ruth Baker, and brothers, Orben Baker, Edwin Bud Baker, and Frank Baker. Survivors include his children, Paula Kay Baker ODocharty and her husband, D. Pat, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen D. Baker, and Cynthia Ann Baker Emery; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; brother, Emil Baker and sister, Patsy Saucier. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at 1:30 PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. A private interment will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, with United States Navy Honors, at a later date.
