MSgt James A. Jim Felts, United States Air Force, (Ret), born on May 6, 1934, passed away on December 19, 2012 at the age of 78. While in the Air Force, Jim earned such honors as the Air Force Longevity Service Award with 4 Oak Leaf Cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with 1 Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Commendation Medal with 1 Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star, and the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Medal. His parents, A. Herman and Helen R. Felts, preceded him in death. Survivors include his daughters; Cathi Lanzante and husband, Joseph of Edwardsville, IL, and Rita Tucker and husband, Jeff of Trenton, IL; grandchildren, Tiffany Kunke, Jarred Tucker, Meghan Lanzante and Joshua Lanzante; brother, William J. Felts and his wife, Katherine; niece, Brenda R. Zook and son Zachary. The Funeral Service will be on Monday, January 7, 2013, at 9:30AM, at Schertz Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full United States Air Force Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jims name to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301, ATTN: Gift Processing, or the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75231.
