On March 14, 2024, MSgt. Don E. White, USAF (Ret.) of Converse, Texas passed peacefully from this life to the next, after a long battle with heart disease. He was born in Galveston, TX in 1937.
In October of 1957 he graduated from Basic Military Training at Lackland A.F.B. and served faithfully in the United States Air Force for 20 years. After his military service he went on to be a computer programmer for Frost Bank, retiring after 20+ years.
He enjoyed the great outdoors in one of his many RV’s and spending time with his family. He loved playing Dominoes with friends and family. Education was a foundation he preached and even after working a full-time job, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Lutheran University in 1985. He continued to support various houses of worship and the San Antonio Food Bank up and until his passing.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jessie O. White and Exie Mae Cade, and his faithful and loving wife of over 50 years, Irene Mullens. He is survived by his son, Ronnie (Lisa), his grandchildren Eddie White and Faith Baker (Chris), his brother, Jessie O. White Jr II and numerous nephews and nieces.
