Miriam Gerald Budnik, born on April 11, 1928, was welcomed to heaven's gate by her husband of 50 years on March 30, 2016. She was known by family and friends as "Sug", a nickname given to her by her father. Sug was an avid gardener and loved watching what the earth could produce under her watchful eye. She was happiest when digging in the dirt and planting seeds she had carefully chosen. She was a valiant and staunch defender of truth, principle, and honesty in all things and instilled that value in her children. She loved animals and the unconditional love they gave their human counterparts, never turning away a stray. She was a strong woman of faith and was given the reward of slipping away peacefully to join her husband, mother, father, and other loved ones that had gone before her. We are so blessed to have had Mom for the time allowed us and pray for her peaceful rest once again in Dad's strong arms. Good night Mom. We love you. Miriam is survived by her son, Patrick A. Budnik and wife Dianne; daughter, Christine D. Budnik; grandchildren, Matthew Cabanski and wife Lindsay, Sarah Reisdorph and husband Jeremy, and their daughter Avery. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 10:00 AM, at Thompsonville Cemetery, in Thompsonville, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that any memorial donation be made to Homes for Pets, located at P.O. Box 605, Schertz, Texas, 78154, phone number 210-619-1980.
