Milton Burow

Milton F. Burow, age 92, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, November 16, 2012, at the Silver Tree Retirement Center in Schertz, TX. He was born September 27, 1920, in Fredericksburg, TX to Fritz and Bertha Burow. Milton served his country in the United States Navy where he became a licensed Barber. Milton married his wife of almost 62 years on January 21, 1951, had two sons, moved to Schertz in 1956, built a barber business and continued his profession until his passing. Milton was an active and respected member of the community and church, and owning his own and very successful Barber business in Schertz for 56 years was one of his lifes goals and passions. He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 62 years, Ruby; son, Mike; daughter-in-Law, Beverly; grandchild, Delbert; great grandchildren Kathleen and Henry and brother Elmer and sister Myrtle. He was preceded in death by his son Milton Ray; brothers Chester, Arthur, Clarence and sister Norma. The family will greet friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Schertz Funeral Home, located at 2217 FM 3009 in Schertz, TX. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Schertz United Methodist Church, located at 3460 Roy Richard Drive in Schertz, TX. with the Rev. Linda Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow at the Comfort Cemetery in Comfort, TX. The Burow family would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff at the Silver Tree Nursing Home in Schertz and Odyssey Hospice for their attentiveness and loving care. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions are welcome and should be made in Miltons name to the Schertz United Methodist Church building fund or the Charity of your choice.
