Milford Kretzschmer

Milford Ronald Kretzschmer, was born to Lena (Bartlett) and Alfred Kretzschmer on July 3, 1940 in Shawnee, Kansas.   He married Nellie Shook in September 1964.  He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and retired in November of 1979 as a Chief Petty Officer.  Through the years he said he traveled around the world two and a half times.  He then went to work at the Baptist Hospital System as a security guard.  He retired after twenty years of service.  He loved his beloved dogs and enjoyed making lap guitars and fishing.  He was preceded in death by his son William Kretzschmer, parents Lena and Alfred Kretzschmer, siblings Gladys Ruttinger, Alfred Kretzschmer, Cyril Kretzschmer, Gerald Kretzschmer, Norma Lowe, Walter Kretzschmer. He is survived by his wife Nellie May Kretzschmer, son Ronald Kretzschmer (Diane), daughter in law Monice, grandsons Andrew Kramer, William Kramer, and great granddaughter Chanell Kramer, Siblings JoAnn Zaeske, Marilyn Mosby and Larry Kretzschmer.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 16, 2019 from 5-9 pm at Schertz Funeral Home.  Interment will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery on Thursday October 24, 2019 at 10:15 am.
