Michael Robert Summers, age 52, beloved husband, father, and son died peacefully Wednesday, December 28,2016 in San Antonio, TX. Michael was born on October 4, 1964 in Elkhart, IN. After attending Texas colleges,he earned an M.S in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in California. He has served patients in San Antonio for 16 years.

Michael's interests included cooking, fishing, football, travel, and a long range plan for building a hill country lake home . Michael had a great sense of humor and will be missed by friends and family alike.

Michael is survived by his wife Julie, sons Matthew and Connor, parents Robert and Catherine Summers of Indiana, brother Joe and wife Nancy , brother Tom and wife Karen , Aunt Mary Shamory and nephews Ryan and David Summers. He is also survived by in-laws Tom and Margie Purifoy, Brad and Nancy Purifoy, Kathy, Keith, Taylor, and Holly Hamon, and other extended family.

Services are at 10 am , Monday Jan 2 at Schertz Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2 pm at Hill Country Memorial Gardens New Braunfels, TX.
