Michael Morris

September 7, 1958 — December 28, 2010

Michael Lee Morris of Cibolo, Texas passed away quietly while surrounded by his wife and friends in his home December 28, 2010, after a long hard fight against his second bout of cancer. Mike was well-known in the commercial sign industry for his creative craftsmanship and dedication. He was also known for his love of hot rods and restoration of classic cars. Mike was an eccentric man with a strong passion for life and a generosity that was never ending. He was blessed by a close community of life-long friends and will be missed by all. Mike was owner of Precision Design Signs, and most recently, Shop Foreman at Comet Neon Advertising. Mike was born in Durham, Connecticut on September 7, 1958 to Walter and Ruth Morris, yet he called himself a Texan. He is survived by his mother Ruth Morris, his wife, Cynthia Kurkowski, his son, Daman Morris, his daughter Danica Morris, and his stepsons, Brian Kurkowski and Devon Hahn. He also leaves behind two brothers, John and James Morris, and a sister, Karen Moore. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 5:00 PM at Schertz Funeral Home.
