Michael Domgard

Michael Christian Domgard, born on July 14, 1947, passed-away on August 7, 2021 at the age of 74. “Mike” was a devoted husband and loving father. As a youth, Mike was able to attain the rank of Eagle Scout and became a member of the Order of the Arrow, an honor society of the Boy Scouts. Although, his true passion was always rooted in music; he spent many years traveling and performing on the hotel circuit. Being the lead singer in a band blessed him with the opportunity to meet the love of his life and best friend Marlene “Sam” Domgard. They fell madly in love and on September 10, 1974 were married in San Antonio, Texas. In May of 1986, Mike and his long term business partner Pat Gauntt, started an Oil and Gas company; which lead to a life long friendship. Through determination and the Lord they were able to build a successful career that afforded Mike and Sam the ability to discover their love of cars and travel. Mike will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Margaret Domgard; his loving wife Marlene J. Domgard and his stepdaughter, Sherry L. Domgard. He is survived by his son, Michael C Domgard II; stepdaughter, Ann M. Ciccarelli; grandchildren, Christian E. Ciccarelli, Alexaundria E. Domgard, and Victoria L. Domgard; siblings, Timothy Domgard, Pamela Whitney, James Domgard, Sallie Vawter, and Louis Domgard.

A joint service for Mike & Marlene Domgard will be held at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 F.M. 3009, Schertz, TX 78154, on August 20th @ 7:00pm.
