Melbert Hillert

Melbert C. Hillert, born on October 27, 1921 in Converse, Texas to Beno and Hedwig Hillert, passed away on March 15, 2018 at the age of 96. Melbert proudly served in the United States Army. He had an outstanding career with John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance and was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Church and a past President of the Randolph Rotary Club. Melbert was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Hillert. He is survived by his children, Melbert "Bob" Hillert Jr., Ginger Jose; grandchildren, Bobby Hillert, Nina Hillert - Durham, Jennifer Jose Dejong and John Jose and 6 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 4:00PM-8:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 10:00AM, St. Paul Evangelical Church, Cibolo, Texas with interment to follow at St. Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to St. Paul Evangelical Church.
