Marylou Paliani

In memory of our beautiful mother, Mary Lou Paliani, who passed on January 9, 2017. She lived to be 98 years young and had a long and adventurous life. She married Louis Paliani December 1, 1943 in Brownsville, Texas, her home town. They took a train to Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where he was from and where they lived for the next 38 years. She and our father lived a wonderful life. He promised when he retired to take her home to San Benito. He made good on his promise. They had many friends and family and always celebrated life with gatherings, cook-outs, dinners, and card games at their home that our father had built for his family. She lost him in 1986. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Louis and Marilyn Paliani, her daughter and son-in-law Larry and Rebecca Goede, two grandchildren Amy and Phillip Regas and Carey White, and great-grandchildren, Adaire White, Symeon White, Arabella Regas and Step-Daughter Kristine and husband James Stewart and great-grand daughter Hannah. She loved her family and all her nieces and nephews. They brightened her day and she always enjoyed their company. Mary Lou was a great caring, and loving person who touched many lives and brought love and laughter to all who knew her. Bingos, casinos, card games, the Senior Center and the Steelers were her passions. She was a devoted Catholic with very traditional values in all aspects of life. She will always be remembered. She was our light, laughter, and tears. We will miss her. A Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00PM on Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel, in Schertz, TX. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Our Lady, Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in San Benito, TX, with interment following at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
