Mary Ann Yuras, Our Beloved Mother was called to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 13, 2009. She was born to Joseph & Agatha (Sekula) Gawlik on June 26, 1921 in Cestohowa , Texas. Mary Ann passed away in Live Oak, Texas at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph John Yuras in 1982. Mary Ann is survived by her eight children, Michael T. Yuras & wife, Susan of Houston, Paulette J. Miller & husband, Gary, Joseph G. Yuras & wife, Liz, Marian F. Dziuk and Robert M. Yuras & wife, Donna, all of Garden Ridge, Loretta Denning and Dennis F. Yuras & wife, Kathy, both of New Braunfels and Deborah L. Hay & husband, Scott of Seguin; sister, Theresa Lyssy; grandchildren, Michael Yuras, Jr., Emily Yuras, Jeffrey L. Miller, Bryan Yuras, Beth Ann Yuras, Ashley Dziuk, Robert Yuras, Jr., Kevin Yuras, Jennifer McElroy, Timothy Conner, Dennis Yuras, Jr., Colby Yuras, Matthew Hay, Rebecca Hay; step-grandchildren, Sydney Thames and Porter Thames; great-grandchildren, Zachariah Timothy Conner, Sommer Lynn Connor, Kaley Lynn McElroy, Chase Evan McElroy, Rebecca Jade Yuras and Anna Christine Yuras; numerous nieces & nephews; many other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM (with a Rosary being Recited at 7:00 PM) on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 11:15 AM on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation for the care given to Mrs. Yuras at Esplanade Gardens and Northeast Methodist Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The American Cancer Society.
