Mary Weikel

Mary Ann (Pugh) Weikel, born on July 9, 1936 to Bertram Hale Pugh and Helen Frances McCollum, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2019, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 83. Following high school, she joined the U.S. Air Force for two years, where she met and married her husband, SMSGT (retired) Merritt O. Weikel to whom she was married for 55 years. Later, she served as Assistant to the Director of the Randolph AFB Youth Activities Center for more than 30 years. Her home was in Live Oak, Texas and later, in San Antonio, Texas until her passing. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Merritt O. Weikel, sons, Donn E. and Richard C. Weikel and grandson, Noah D. Weikel. She is survived by her sons, Merritt David Weikel, wife Sharon and Douglass V. Weikel, wife Janet, daughter, Dina A. Fry, husband Don and brothers, Donald L. Pugh, C. Robert White and Richard D. White. Visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, TX 78154, on December 6th,2019, from 6:00 - 9:00 PM. Mary Ann Weikel is to be interred with her beloved husband at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
