Mary Watt

March 16, 1945 — March 2, 2019

Mary Lou Watt, 73, returned to her heavenly home on March 2, 2019 after a long battle with illness. Her devotion to her family, who supported her in her struggle, ultimately gave her peace.

Her hobbies included putting puzzles together, she was an avid bird watcher, and so enjoyed watching her grandkids in their sporting events. Her favorite teams were the Spurs, Astros and Cubs. She was also very proud of her grandchildren that served in the Army and Navy! She enjoyed reporting the weather to her kids on a daily basis from Iowa to San Antonio. She was dearly loved by all that knew her and was a wonderful Wife, Mother and Friend.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Lillian Henderson, from Plad, MO and daughter, Tracey Janet Watt. Mary Lou was born March 16, 1945 and was raised in and around Tunas, Mo where she attended school.

Mary Lou was blessed with a large and loving family. She married Don Watt in Kansas City Mo. They raised their four children on a farm near Tunas, MO.

She is survived by her Husband Don of Schertz, Texas, and 4 Children, Don Jr. (& Sherrie) Watt of Norman OK , Teresa (& Norm) Fernandez of Cibolo TX , Terri (& Chris) Banduch of La Vernia TX and Kelly (& Robin) Freeman of Converse,TX. 2 Sisters, Margie Prock of Lebanon, MO and Melba Sharp of Buffalo, MO. 8 Grandchildren: Darrick Jones, Joshua Jones, Kirby Dakota Jones, Jared Jones, Thomas Fernandez, Nicole Fernandez, Zachary Watt, & Meghan Watt and four great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday March 6, 2019 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel from 5pm -7pm. A rosary will be recited on Thursday March 7, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma, Texas followed by a funeral mass 2:00 p.m. Mary Lou will be laid to rest at Selma Cemetery #2.
