Mary Lou Timmons

Mary Lou Timmons , age 92, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother and resident of Cibolo, TX, was called to her eternal resting place on August 30,, 2024. She was born on November 10, 1931 in Sparta, IL, to Steele and Viola Gaston . 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Timmons. She is survived by her four children, Mary Catherine Slate (Chris); Scott Frederick Timmons (Suzanne), Gregg Steele Timmons (Debra) and Mark Timmons (Jo Ann), 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and by her brother, William Robert Gaston (Shawn). 

Mary graduated from Rubicam Business School. She had a career spanning 30 years working as secretary, personnel staffing and executive assistant in the USAF Civil Service. Mary received multiple awards for her service in the Air Force. Mary loved flowers and kept a small garden in her back yard. As a military spouse, Mary got to see the world travelling and living in 3 countries and five states. Mary was devoted to her family and was always up for hosting holiday meals at her home in Schertz. She was the President of the Savannah Square HOA for several years and during her tenure, saw the membership nearly double.

A visitation at 10:00am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the Schertz Funeral Home followed by a graveside ceremony 1:00 pm at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
