Mary Martinez

Mary Martinez was born May 11, 1933 in Marion, Texas to Jose and Adelida De La Cruz. She passed away February 17, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas.
Mary De La Cruz Martinez married Juan (Johnny) Martinez on December 27, 1958. During Johnny's years in the Air Force, the couple lived in many different places including Torrejon AFB in Madrid, Spain where they spent 7 years.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Juan (Johnny) Martinez; sons, Johnny Jr. (Gloria) of Universal City, Texas, Robert (Teresa) of Cibolo, Texas, Andy (Terry) of Brooklyn, New York and George (Debbie) of Marion, Texas; daughters, Sylvia (Robert) of Marion, Texas, Shirley of Universal City, Texas and Grace (Marlon) of San Antonio, Texas; 7 grandchildren, Amy, Chris, Robbie, Jennifer, Candace, Briana and Diego; as well as 6 great grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm with Rosary beginning at 7:00pm at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 10:00am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marion, Texas; followed by interment at Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery in Santa Clara, Texas.
