Mary Inskeep

January 10, 1937 — May 10, 2012

Mary Lurea Barton Inskeep was born January 10, 1937 in Pike County, Ohio and passed away on May 10, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 75 years. Mary was preceded in death by parents, George Lemory Barton and Elizabeth Hunter Barton, son, Robert Alan Inskeep and brother, William Troy Barton. She is survived by her husband, Orville Eugene Inskeep and sons, Chad Alan Inskeep of Anderson, Indiana, Chris Alan Inskeep and wife Anna Laura; grandchildren, Sierra Noel, Christian, Crystal, Joey, Skylar, Jared and Tylar; sister-in-law, Blanche Barton; niece and family, Beverly, Don and Justin Hughes. Mary spent most of her growing up years in Champaign County, Ohio with her aunt and uncle, Alice and Ed Holycross and their son and daughter, Beatrice H. Johnson and R. Harlyn Holycross, all deceased. Mary was an active member of CVBC, past matron Schertz Chapter 911 of Order of Eastern Star, New Braunfels Chapter OES and a member of RSVP " Guadalupe Co. Mary also worked as a volunteer at Marion Elementary ISD, reading and tutoring to students. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Schertz Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00am with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
