Mary Ellen Fentress passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010, at the age of 83. She was born in San Antonio in 1926 to Daniel Mathew and Leonie Elder Galvin. Mary graduated from Jefferson High School and received a BS degree in elementary education from Trinity University in 1947. She taught in San Antonio elementary schools for 9 years and worked as a real estate agent in northeast San Antonio for 5 years. Mary was active in the family's homebuilding and land development in Windcrest and Royal Ridge for over 30 years. She loved to visit Port Aransas and spent many extended vacations there. Mary is survived by Thomas L. Fentress her husband of 59 years, son Thomas D. Fentress, daughter Sharon Allen, three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Private Family Services are planned. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a gift to a charity of your choice.
