Mary E. Crookham of Schertz Tx passed away after a long battle with cancer on 7 August 2024 in San Antonio Tx. Mary was 81 Years old. She was born and raised in Southern California on 5 May 1943, her parents were John and Dorothy Flores. 

Mary attended Elementary, High School and College in Southern California. Mary worked various jobs in California, Florida, and Texas during her working career. Mary's daughter Michelle preceded her in death, leaving two grandsons Mark and Michael, whom Mary raised afterwards. 

Mary married David Crookham in January of 2020 and they began a new life together. Mary leaves behind her husband David, grandsons Mark Richard and wife Lisa, Michael Hurford, great grand children, Eliose and Ethan Richards, and an extended family from our union, Laura, Jason, Kirk, Christina and Caleb, Rock & Susan, Sarah and Garrett, Eric & Jillian, Kaitlynn & Loren. And of course our extended VF W Family. 

Service will be on 23 August at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:45 PM.

A Celebration of Life will be afterwards beginning at 3:45 PM at VFW Post 4676 in Universal City Tx, 202 West Aviation Blvd. Lunch will be served.
