Mary Phyllis Botten-Edwards, passed away on November 21, 2016, in Schertz, Texas. She was born on December 10, 1959 to Cardenil and Rosemary Montoya in Las Vegas, Nevada. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family, going to Bible classes, water aerobics, as well as visiting with and playing cards with her mama, Rosemary. She also loved her flowers and gardening. She had an unexpected sense of humor that took everyone by surprise! In 2007 Phyllis was medically retired and planned her days around her activities so she could rest in between. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rosemary Montoya; and great-grandson, Isaiah Joel Botten Edwards. Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Rodney E. B. Edwards; children, Jennifer Lynn Chadwick & husband, Casey, and Roddney Elton Botten-Edwards & wife, Teresa; grandchildren, Robert Allen Botten-Edwards & wife, Autumn; Kevin Scott Botten Edwards and Isabella Marie Carter; great-granddaughter, Arieanna Marie Botten Edwards; father, Cardenil Montoya and family; brother, Francis Montoya and family; and sister, Patricia Talley and family. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 2:00PM-6:00PM on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Schertz Funeral Home.
