Mary Sunday Barnett was born Maria Dominica Castelucci to Anna Corolyn (Sturchio) Canterbury and Anthony Castelucci LaPinta on May 10, 1925 in Pittsburgh, PA. She passed away peacefully on April 16, 2010 in Cibolo, Texas, surrounded by her loving family and close friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Coleman Barnett and her granddaughter, Debbie Schrengost. She is survived by her children, Coleman Barnett, Jr. of Aurora, Missouri, Anita Carolyn Embry of Cincinnati, Ohio and Mary Cecelia Davis & husband, Kenneth of Cibolo; sister, Virgie Jean Williams & husband Kenneth of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, Sharlet Marie Barnett, James Leinberger II, Kenneth Davis II, Thomas Coleman Barnett, June Belinda Newton, Kenny Barnett, Gary Trew, Cecilia Nicole Trew, Eric Schlemner and 22 great-grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM (with a Rosary being Recited at 7:00 PM) on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass will be Celebrated at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church located at 16075 N. Evans Road in Selma, Texas. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. The family requests that all donations be sent to the wonderful people at Odyssey Hospice, Autumn Winds Retirement Lodge and the ASPCA.
