It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mary Ann. Mary Ann lived a life filled with purpose and compassion. She was a devoted wife and mother who made it her mission to make sure that family was a priority.
Mary Ann was born November 28, 1949, and entered eternal rest on May 23, 2024. She is survived by her husband of 44 years Albert Hinojosa Martinez, children Katherine Anne Martinez and Albert Eugene Martinez Jr. and beloved canine companion “Jacob” Siblings Richard Gomez (Caryn) Lucy Gomez, Ida Bustamante (Bart), Genevieve Hernandez, Jaime Gomez and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Josephine A. & David R Gomez and son Joseph David Martinez.
Mary Ann faced some challenges throughout her life, including her battle with diabetes, breast cancer, and dementia. Despite the difficulties, she remained resilient and maintained her sense of humor. Her laughter was contagious, and she could light up the room with her smile. When once asked what her hobbies were, her response “my children and my faith.”
The Visitation will be held Tuesday June 4 ,2024 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00pm. Catholic Mass to be held June 5, 2024, beginning at 11:30am followed by Graveside Service at our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery #2.
The family would like to thank and appreciate all the dedicated care givers for their time and service for our beloved Mary Ann. She will truly be missed.
