Marvin Taylor

December 18, 1942 — June 28, 2012

Marvin G. Taylor, 69, of San Antonio, Texas, he died Thursday unexpectedly from complications of a massive stroke in a local hospital. Mr. Taylor was born on Dec. 18, 1942 to Sammie and Evelyn Hughes Taylor in Konawa, Okla. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1981 with the rank of Master Sergeant. He later worked as a civilian contractor at Randolph Air Force Base for more than 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia Faye Bose Taylor of San Antonio; his daughter, Lynn Sheree Taylor of Austin, Texas; his sisters Gayle Lynn Redding and Jean Ann Worley; and his brother, Robert Taylor of Eufala, Okla. He is also survived by his uncle John Henry Hughes of Lexington, Okla. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 2,2012, at 6:00PM-8:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009 Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday July 3,2012 at 1:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at a later date at Stamford Cemetery in Nebraska. In lieu of flowers, friends may donate to their favorite charities.
