Martin F Sosa was born on November 2, 1964, in Plainview, Texas, to Pedro and Sofia (Flores) Sosa.
Martin was a loving individual, preceded in death by his cherished partner, Martina Castaneda, his parents Pedro and Sofia Sosa, as well as his siblings Alicia Bennet, Reynaldo Sosa, and Pablo F. Sosa. He is survived by his children, Martin Jr, David Sosa, Juan, Michael, Brandi, and Chris Castaneda, along with his grandchildren; Anthony, Isaac, Nichlas, Ryan, and Mia Sosa. Martin is also survived by numerous siblings: Virginia Torrez, Ruben Sosa, Juan Sosa, Pedro Sosa, Marianita Zamora, Yolanda Sosa, Sulema Sosa, Simon Sosa, Lucinda Sosa, Oralia Salas, Adela Sosa, Maria Davis, Adelaida Rodriguez, Martina Lopez (twin), and Elida Alonzo.
A talented painter from a young age, Martin leaves behind a legacy of artistry that will be remembered and appreciated by those who were fortunate enough to witness his creativity.
Throughout his life, Martin approached every day as an adventure and was known for his willingness to assist those around him in their times of need. His infectious smile, coupled with a remarkable sense of humor, brought warmth and light to those he encountered. Martin's laughter was distinctive and his capacity to love deeply touched the lives of many. His absence will be keenly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In remembrance of Martin F. Sosa, may his spirit of generosity, humor, and love continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A Memorial Visitation will be held for Martin at Schertz Funeral Home on August 22, 2024 from 5:00PM - 8:00PM with the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held the following morning at 11:30 AM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Schertz, with a Graveside Service to follow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery #2.
