Martha "Oma" Shortland born on May 22, 1938 in Germany, passed away on May 20, 2018 in San Antonio, TX at the age of 79. Martha was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Logan. She is survived by her son Stephen Shortland (Kathleen), sister Marie, grandchildren Brandi, Jennifer, Christie, Shawn, Megan, and Canon, great-grandchildren Breanna, Abby, Mia, and Alex. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018, 2:00pm, at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
