Marsha Claire (Fesemyer) Malone of Universal City, TX passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020 in the tender care of her loving husband, John Malone. She was born in Williamsport, PA on March 26, 1943, where she lived until 1965 when she moved to Warner Robins, GA and met the love of her life. Their adventurous life together began in 1966. She embraced her roles as military spouse, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Marsha is survived by her husband John; four children: David, Joel, Brenda and Shawn; one brother, Bob Fesemyer; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Her beloved 98-year-old mother, Regina McMurtrie, passed away a week earlier.
Marsha was a career Civil Servant. An excellent student, she graduated from Southwest Texas State University while continuing to work full-time. Her lifelong passions included family and friends, reading, travel, entertaining, playing cards, and volunteer work with SAMMC, Bexar County Elections as a judge, Meals on Wheels, and True Life Church.
Marsha’s funeral arrangements have been made through Schertz Funeral Home with services being held at Schertz Funeral Home on Monday, January 4. Her viewing will begin at 10:00 followed by a funeral service at 11:00. Marsha will be interred at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance or to True Life Church in Universal City, TX
