Mark Anthony Trudzinski finished his journey on January 26, 2025, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior after a long illness. He was born on October 23, 1957, to Frank E. Trudzinski and Dolores “Laurie” Trudzinski.

While stationed in Ludwigsburg, Germany, Mark met the love of his life, Gudrun “Gigi” Trudzinski. Mark was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend, known for his unwavering loyalty and kind heart.

Mark dedicated his life to serving his country, both in uniform and as a civil servant. He spent 21 years in the United States Army, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 2 (CW2) after working with the Army Corps of Engineers. Following his military service, he continued his commitment to serving others in a civilian role within the U.S. Army Medical Command, where he played a key role in maintaining and improving healthcare facilities. His outstanding contributions were recognized with the prestigious Order of Military Medical Merit on April 21, 2011, honoring his dedication, talent, and impact on military medical care.

A firm believer in lifelong learning, Mark earned a Master of Education from National-Louis University and a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College. His dedication to healthcare quality and patient safety was evident in his work with The Joint Commission, where he assessed medical facilities across the United States to ensure compliance with the highest standards.

A man of strong Christian faith, Mark was a member of The Country Church in Marion, TX, where his faith was the cornerstone of his life, shaping his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for those around him.

Mark was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a devoted father to Nicole Schmidt and Thomas Trudzinski and a proud grandfather to Maggie, Nate, Paige, Ty, and Callan.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Gudrun “Gigi” Trudzinski; his children, Nicole Schmidt (Robert) and Thomas Trudzinski; his mother, Dolores “Laurie” Trudzinski; his siblings, Debbie Trudzinski, Mary Baldree (Michael), Matthew Trudzinski, and David Trudzinski (Pam); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Frank E. Trudzinski; his maternal grandparents, John and Magdalen ‘Lee’ Folk; and his paternal grandparents, Stella and Anthony Trudzinski.
