Mark Taylor

Mark Stephen Taylor, a longtime resident of Schertz, Texas, was born on May 25, 1953 and passed away August 12, 2016. He is preceded in death by his father, James Taylor; and stepfather, Rudy L. Rivers.

He is survived by his wife Shirley; son Travis (Ginger) Taylor of New Braunfels; daughter Rhonda (Ryan) Walsh of Houston, and mother, Velma Bissett Rivers (Universal City). Mark was a graduate of Highlands High School and Southwest Texas State University. He spent his career in sales and loved to tinker with lawnmowers and small engine repair in his free time. He was a member of the Big Guys of San Antonio and loved spending time with family and friends. He was largely considered the "life of the party", and will be greatly missed. All services will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Oakwood Baptist Church, 2154 Loop 337 N., New Braunfels, TX 78130. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Diabetes Association.
