Mark Mccoy

December 31, 1968 — May 15, 2014

Mark L. McCoy, born on December 31, 1968, passed away on May 15, 2014, at the age of 45. Mark graduated from Spirit Lake High School and Mankato State University. He was an avid bicyclist who once rode from Alaska to Iowa. He met and married Kristy Myers in 1999 and was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother. His family was his greatest love followed by a close second was his bike. Mark was a loyal friend and will be missed by many. His grandparents, Lawrence and Mildred McCoy, and Raymond and Margaret Bartosh, and his father-in-law, Michael Myers, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Kristy McCoy; sons, Joshua Myers and Jacob McCoy; parents, Clement and Lorraine McCoy; brother, David McCoy and his wife, Barbara; sisters, Karen Moss and her husband, Ron, Sharon O'Brien and her husband, Pat, and Sandra Wallace and her husband, Dave; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 18, 2014, from 4:00PM-8:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Monday, May 19, 2014, at 2:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. All services will conclude in the chapel.
