New Braunfels, Texas

Marilyn Virginia Klein, age 84, peacefully passed away on July 15, 2024 at the Brooks of Cibolo in Cibolo, Texas.

Marilyn was born in Shamrock, Texas to George Barth and Mary Lee Blackburn. "Corky" as she was affectionately called was the youngest of two girls. Marilyn graduated from Sayre High School in Sayre, Oklahoma. Here she met and married Jerry Roles. Marilyn and Jerry moved to Amarillo, Texas and had two children, Jerry Roles Jr. and Misty Roles Baerwald.

Marilyn eventually married Gene Klein Jr., they enjoyed their time living at Lake Tanglewood where Gene taught Marilyn to water ski and golf. Their love for sport of golf blossomed and they spent many years traveling and golfing together!

Marilyn was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She was also an expert seamstress and had an eye for decor. In 2000, Marilyn and Gene moved to New Braunfels, Texas.  Marilyn enjoyed getting to spend time with her granddaughter Madison while she was growing up.

Gene passed away in 2015 and Marilyn and her little dog Cubby continued living in New Braunfels until the last 7 months when she moved  to the Brooks of Cibolo. She made several close friends there and everyone described her as "the sweetest little lady."

Marilyn is survived by her daughter Misty Baerwald and her husband Leroy, her step sons Keith Klein, Trey Klein and his wife Chris. She is also survived by her granddaughter Madison and her husband  Cristian, her granddaughters Madeline and Julia, and her grandsons Connor, Grady, and Griffin, and her great grandson Easton.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her son Jerry Roles Jr., her husband Gene Klein Jr., her father George Barth, her mother Mary Lee Walker, her step mother Irene Barth and her sister JoeAnn Brogdon.

Marilyn will be greatly missed, but we are comforted in knowing she is with the Lord and all of her loved ones.

Special thanks to the staff at Brooks of Cibolo and all the angel caretakers that helped keep her comfortable during her last days.
