Class. She was confirmed and married at

Memorial Lutheran Church. Marietta and Viola
Siebold
started the first children's Sunday School in the 1940's. She married Calvin
Gerhart
, her childhood sweetheart, on February 7, 1942. They made their life in rural
Bexar
County farming, dairy farming, raising chickens and selling eggs, registered German Shepherds, rabbits, and pecans. In 1981, the
Gerhart
family moved the dairy farm to Guadalupe County. Her beautiful yard was the site for many family parties. Marietta was preceded in death by her parents; husband Calvin; sons, Calvin, Jr. and David; brother
Delroy
and wife
Delrose; Calvin's
sister Lorene
Heitkamp and husband Fritz
. She is survived by her children Donald (Barbara), Doug, and Grace
Kunde
(Wyatt), grandchildren Jonathan
Gerhart
, Wyatt (Monica)
Kunde
, and Scarlett
Kunde
. Services will be held 10:

, Saturday, September 29, 2018, at
Beitel
Memorial Lutheran, 2515 Austin Hwy, SAT. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Family requests memorials be made to

Memorial Lutheran.
