Maria Logsdon

Maria De Jesus Logsdon, born on June 17, 1934, passed away on February 12, 2020 at the age of 85.

Maria was born in Mexico and came to the United States where she excelled at the English language. She invested her time into learning about different types of antiques, whether it was furniture or glassware and eventually, her and her husband opened their own antique shop. Maria enjoyed gardening and was well known for her fruit trees. She was strong willed, a protector of her family and an advocate and voice for children and animals.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Doyle Logsdon; sister, Maria Garcia. Maria is survived by her daughter, Janie Cisneros; grandchildren, Clarissa Winter; great-grandchildren, Gabby Marie Winter, Emma Clare Winter; sister, Maria Elena Snyder; brother, Francisco Peguero; faithful companion, Roberto the Parrot and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 5:00PM-9:00PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00PM at the Schertz Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 11:30AM at St. Monica’s Catholic Church with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:30PM.
