Maria Gonzalez

Maria Viera Gonzalez, born on February 11, 1951, passed away on May 26, 2016, at the age of 65. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and she adored her grandchildren. Maria is preceded in death by her loving husband, Sergio Gonzalez; father, Crepsin; sister, Apollonia Viera. She is survived by her children, Lizet Nelms and husband Robert, and Alma Gonzalez; grandchildren, Michael, Blake, Serenity, and Isabella Nelms; mother, Paula Viera; five brothers, and three sisters. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 30, 2016, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at the Schertz Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at 10:00 AM, at Immaculate Concepcion Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Marion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that any memorial donations be made to TxWings.org.
