Margarete M. Wheeler born October 3, 1929, in Port Arthur, TX, passed away on September 9, 2015, in New Braunfels, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Frieda Lessard, her sister Dorothy Weatherford, and her granddaughter Dana Mitchell Tesalona. Margaret is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Claude "Bud" Wheeler, daughters; Frances Graves (Frank), Barbara Beck, Janet Beck, and Beverly Wheeler, son Roger Wheeler (Emily). She also leaves behind her grandchildren Ryan Mitchell (Yolanda), Tara Merritt, Bryan Henneke, and grandson-in-law Josh Tesalona; four great-grandchildren Pablo, Diego, Kyndall, and Camille. She was a great lover of animals, especially her cats. She made life better for everyone she ever met and the world was a better place by her being in it. She will be missed more than she would ever know. Visitation will be Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be Monday, September 14, 2015, 1:00pm, at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel with the interment to follow at the Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers family request donations may be made to the Schertz Humane Society.
