Margaret Elizabeth Rooney

Margaret Elizabeth Rooney, 44, passed away on July 13, 2024, in Schertz, TX. She was born on September 14, 1979, in Wiesbaden AFB, Germany, and was the beloved daughter of Pok Hui Rooney and the late James Rooney.

Margaret attended Samuel Clemens High School where she shone brightly as the colonel of the Belles Dance Team. She worked for many years as a dental assistant and later discovered her unique gift for connecting with people through spray-tanning. She was an ardent sports fan, cheering for the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Cowboys, and Boston Red Sox. Her love for sports was only rivaled by her love for Hawaii, her favorite place in the world. 

Margaret is survived by her mother, Pok Hui Rooney; her daughters, Claire and Chloe Strever; her sister, Jennifer Gaitan and her husband Roland; her niece, Morgan Gaitan-Fountain and her husband William; and her nephew, James Gaitan. She was preceded in death by her father, James Rooney.

At this time, the family is requesting privacy and will hold a private service for family members. Margaret will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery for those who wish to visit and pay their respects. 

Margaret’s life and memory will continue to be celebrated by all who knew her, leaving a lasting impact that will never be forgotten.
