Margaret Moore

Margaret Helen Cox Moore, born on January 5, 1933, went to be with the Lord on November 3, 2016, at the age of 83, in her home in Marion, Texas. It was there that she spent her last years with her daughter, Bobbie Moore and granddaughters, Ashlee and Sara Eldridge. Margaret was born in Mississippi to Henry and Mary Cox. She was raised in Uvalde, Texas, where she met the love of her life, Walter Moore. They were married on December 24, 1948. They were together 36 years before Walter's passing. They had 9 loving children and one who did not get to grace the presence of this world. Throughout Margaret's life, she was a caregiver not only to her own children, but others as well. She was much loved and respected throughout her home and community. She devoted her life to her family. Margaret is preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Melvin. She is survived by her 7 children, Linda Brenner, James Moore, Keith Moore, Michael Moore, Douglas Moore, Nancy Matt, Barbara Moore, and their spouses; blessed with 28 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She has gone to join her husband, parents, sisters, Shirley and Lorraine, brother, Rodney, and sons, Roy Moore, Kenneth Moore, and Baby Boy Moore. Margaret will be greatly missed and remembered by many. Her wings were ready but our hearts were not, and if love could have saved her, she would have lived forever. There will be a private family gathering at a later date.
