Margaret Johnston

April 28, 1942 — February 5, 2019

Margaret (Bean) Johnston passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. She was surrounded by family in those final hours and is now at peace from Alzheimer's Disease.

Margaret and her beloved husband Leroy spent 55 years in marriage. They met in the 8th grade at North Junior High in Abilene, TX. Their love for and devotion to each other knew no bounds.

Margaret and Leroy made a home in El Paso, after both graduated from Texas Western University (now UTEP). They raised two exceptional, independent daughters and eventually retired to the San Antonio area, in Spring Branch, TX.

Margaret was a teacher for many years at Stanton Elementary. She attended Highland Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of several organizations: Woman's Club of El Paso, The Garden Club, and Daughters of the American Revolution to mention a few.

Margaret was a kind and generous soul. She was loved by many and she also loved so many.

She is survived by her husband Leroy Johnston, daughters Ronda Johnston Cantrell and her husband Brian Cantrell, and Raymel Johnston, and grandson Canyon Cantrell.
