Manuel Marquez

Manuel "Mark" Marquez, age 74, passed away on March 21, 2019 in New Braunfels, Texas. He was born on March 27, 1944 in Queens, New York. Mark proudly served his country for 24 years, and retired as a Major in the United States Air Force. He then worked for many years as an economic developer and served as the City Manager of Schertz. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Petra Marquez; daughters, Lisa Marquez & husband Mark Talbot-Kelly, Kristina Wesolowski & husband Adam, and Andrea Murphy & husband Chris; grandchildren, Nicholas, Michael, Katelyn, Sam, and Jack; as well as many other family members and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:30PM on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Schertz Funeral Home, with family receiving friends one hour before the service. Graveside Services, with full military honors, will follow at 2:00PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
