Malinda Hulda Muenchow, 93, beloved wife of Alfred Muenchow for 71 years, devoted mother of Glen and wife Beverly Muenchow, loving Opa to Chris Muenchow, Jeff Muenchow and his wife Amber, Eric Muenchow and his wife Chesley: cherished Grosse Oma to Abbey, Reagan, Carson, Brady, and Landon; and dear sister to Ruby Schultz, went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2019. Malinda was born to Carl and Erna (Schultze) Rennspies in Marion, Texas on November 8, 1925. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Alfred Muenchow; son, Roy Muenchow; brothers, Delrin Rennspies and Roman Rennspies; and sister, Edrina Rennspies. Malinda grew up on the farm in various locations in and around East Bexar and Western Guadalupe counties. She attended the Green Valley School near Cibolo. In her young adult years, Malinda worked at Schaefer's Saloon and Grandma Cookie Company in San Antonio. Malinda married her childhood friend and lifetime partner, Alfred in 1946 at Redeemer Church in Zuehl, where they were involved lifetime members. After marriage, her attention turned to homemaking, teaching Sunday school, and helping Alfred on the farm driving tractors, tending cattle, hauling hay, fixing fence, repairing equipment, etc. She loved farming, and loved her cows. All of the cows had names and most were home grown born on the place stock. Malinda always enjoyed working and staying busy. She also enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, fishing, casino trips, puzzles, and cooking huge meals, which always included her signature sweet rice and apple pie for desert. In the past couple of years, she expanded her interests playing games and enjoying craft times with her many friends at Legacy Assisted Living. She especially loved her family and sharing hugs with family and friends.
