Luvenia Williams

Luvenia transitioned peacefully from this life the morning of March 15, 2024 after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family. Luvenia was born in Louisville, Ky. where she met and married the love of her life Joseph Williams, Jr. Her husband joined the United States Air Force in 1952. Luvenia graduated as the Valedictorian of her senior high school class at Lincoln Institute. She also went on to graduate from cosmetology school in 1971. After the passing of her husband at 52 years of age, Luvenia eventually moved to San Antonio, TX to live with her eldest daughter, Deborah. Luvenia is survived by her six children, Deborah Crowder (Fred), Theresa Weaver (Bryan), Wanda Williams, Joseph Williams  III (Kim), Diana Coleman and Geneva Nevills (Ted). Luvenia is also survived by her sisters, Clara Rendy, Alice Irene and her brother William Andrew, aka Billy White. Luvenia is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Williams Jr. her sisters, Mary Emma, Effie Lee, brothers, James Robert, Lee Roy and John Thomas. Luvenia is also survived by a host of grand and great-grandchildren. Tipthy aka Demi, Amiya, Maliyah, Jermaine, and Andre'; Tamala aka Jozette, Nikisha, Isaiah, Damien, X'zavier, and Hoah, Bryan Jr.; Jennifer, Desmond, Jacklyn, Jazmyn, and Jordan, Michael, Fletcher (Cassie), Regan and Aidan, Christina, Wynter and Derek; Joseph IV; Shanise, Donovan Jr.; Melody; Harmony; I'züyah, Mosiiyah, and Mahani; Melodyia; and Jeniyah, Luvenia is also survive by a host of nieces and nephews.
