Lucy Gutierrez

Lucy Gutierrez, born on June 5, 1960, passed away on August 14th, 2016. She was living at 502 Dukeway Drive in Universal City, Texas, at the time of her passing. Lucy was certainly one of a kind. She was vibrant and passionate. Her laugh and her smile are unforgettable. She loved unconditionally and was an example of strength and endurance. She taught us how to trust the Lord and worship Him in all circumstances. She was the epitome of an overcomer. Lucy was an encourager to all those who needed it. She was definitely a force to be reckoned with. Lucy's love for Her savior was evident. Her faith was strong. She was a worshipper and wasn't afraid to show it. She certainly wasn't hard to love. She made an impact on so many people and she will be dearly missed. Rest in paradise Lucy! No more pain... She is preceded in death by her daughter, Emily Ann Gutierrez; husband, Emilio Gutierrez. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Hall; stepson, Rodney Gutierrez; grandchildren, Cristian Gutierrez, Maya Castro, Marcos Castro, Angelina Hall, Judah Hall; mother and father (Lucia and Fernando Garcia), sister, Maria Segovia; brothers, Fernando Garcia, Mario Garcia and Eduardo Garcia; and numerous family members.

Lucy's "Celebration of Life" will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016, at Everyday Christian Fellowship in Cibolo. Service will begin at 6 PM, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donation be made to the American Cancer Society.
