Lucille Rennspies

Lucille "Lucy" Rennspies, aged 66, was called to her eternal home on July 13, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas, the city of her birth. Born on October 28, 1957, to her late parents, Rosalie Erma and Milbert Willie Rennspies, Lucy's life was a living testament to the virtues of humility, grace, and unconditional love.

 A graduate of John Jay High School, Lucy walked a path of service, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her heart, a beacon of Christ's love, knew no bounds in kindness and generosity. In the mid-90s, Lucy embraced her faith wholeheartedly, being baptized at Baptist Temple Church, in 2004, she reaffirmed her commitment to her Savior at Fellowship Church in Grapevine, Texas.

 With her family, Lucy traveled, not merely to see the world, but to appreciate the splendor of God's tapestry and to create enduring bonds that time nor distance could unravel. Her respect for all of God's creation was mirrored in her affection for animals, particularly her cherished cats. She was a vessel of God's love, spreading warmth and kindness without judgment, and was always ready to embrace others into the fold of her family.

 Lucy leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Christopher J. Rennspies and Derrick A. Kohl; her brothers, Larry W. Rennspies and Elroy Rennspies; her twin sister, Marcille Schneider; and six beloved grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She joins in Heaven her sister, Betty J. Scott, and her parents.

 The family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on July 28, 2024, at Schertz Funeral Home. A funeral service to honor Lucy's life and her unwavering faith will be held at 10:00 AM on July 29, 2024, at Community Bible Church Central Campus. The Schertz Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

 In honoring Lucy's memory, the family invites all who were touched by her gentle, giving spirit to join in fellowship and remembrance. Let us gather to pay tribute to a life so beautifully lived, a life that reflected the glory of God's love, and may we carry forward her light in acts of kindness and love.
