Lucille Elizabeth Davidson, age 88 of Schertz, went peacefully into the arms of the Lord on September 14, 2024. She was born on August 21, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Steven and Helen Visocan, the love of her life, husband Major James J. Davidson (USAF Ret.), and their daughter Kathleen Ann. Lucille is survived by her daughter Loretta Mae and sons Gregory John and James Edward. Her greatest pride and joy were her eight grandchildren: Brigette, Aimee, Elise, Allie, Kacie, Charlotte, Gregory and Caroline, and her six great-grandchildren.
Lucille grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where she attended Jane Addams High School earning a vocational degree in tailoring and dressmaking. She married Jim in 1958 and they were happily married for 53 years. Throughout his US Air Force career, Jim and Lucille were stationed in Minot, ND, Denver, CO, and S.H.A.P.E. in Belgium before coming to Lackland A.F.B. and Randolph A.F.B. Lucille began working at Randolph in the Air Education and Training Command (AFSAT) in 1980 and enjoyed traveling to several countries around the world for her work. She was an active member of the congregation of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Schertz.
After retirement, Lucille enjoyed spending time with her family and being a loving, ever-present force in their lives. Lucille will be remembered by all those whose lives she touched with her generosity, charm and ability to bring beauty everywhere she went. Lucille loved her family more than anything in the world and she will be dearly missed.
