Lt. Col. Joseph William Adams Jr., PhD., born on July 14, 1957, passed away on March 20, 2019, at the age of 61. Joseph was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He served in the United States Air Force for 19 ½ years and received his PHD from Carnegie Mellon. Joseph was a man of very few words, with a mind full of intelligence. When he spoke, people listened. Though he was tough at heart, Joseph had a soft spot for his family. He adored them with his whole heart. He was also a major history buff. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph William Adams, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lucretia Beth Adams; daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Adams,22, and Abigail Jean Adams, 28; nephew, Jamie Adams; and his mother, Mary Adams. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, April 1, 2019, at 2:45 PM, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Shelter #5.
