Louise Nordmeyer
October 1, 1912 — September 10, 2009
Louise entered eternal rest on September 10, 2009, less than one month from her 97th birthday. For the last 43 years she has lived in Schertz, Texas, where she was an active volunteer for the Schertz Library for 25 of those years. She was born in Rosalia, Kansas on October 1, 1912 and studied Chemistry and Math at Wichita State University. She married Edward Henry (Eddie) Nordmeyer of McAllen, Texas, on May 31, 1935. Eddie, as well as her two brothers and one sister, preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Jimmy and Yvonne Nordmeyer of McAllen, Texas; Herb and Judy Nordmeyer of Castroville, Texas; two daughters, Nancy and John Knox of Madison, Alabama; Mary and Wayne Flowers of Schertz, Texas; as well as nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Many years ago she expressed that she would like to stay in her own home until the Lord called her home. She was able to do that. She will be buried next to Eddie at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park, 2951 Highway 46, New Braunfels, Texas 78130. There will be graveside services at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 15, 2009.
