Louise Hill

Louise Rollins Hill passed away on August 7, 2009 at the age of 87, in San Antonio, Texas. Born to John W. & Willie Wagner Rollins on January 3, 1922 in Dothan, Alabama. She met & married her husband at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, while earning her BA degree in education. She loved the military life and traveling. She accompanied her husband on overseas assignments, being among the first dependents to Germany at the end of WWII, and also living in Norway, Japan, and Hawaii. After her husbands retirement from the Army she also lived and taught school in Saudi Arabia. She traveled extensively to all continents, except Antarctica, she also enjoyed many cruises. She was an avid golfer, playing many courses around the world, and currently a member of Northcliffe Golf Club. Louise is survived by her husband of 67 years, James Hill, her daughter Sandra Hill Moody & husband, Gary Klussman, son; Donald Foster Hill & wife, Debbie; granddaughters, Melissa Daniel & husband, Brian, and Katie Hill; grandson, Thomas Hill; great-granddaughters, Mia , Alex & Chloe Daniel; sisters, Francis McDavid & husband, Joe, Bettye Pittman & husband, Bob; brother, Bob Rollins & wife, Joan. She was preceded in death by sons James, Jr. and Thomas. Memorial Services to be held at Scenic Hills Lodge 2:00PM, Tuesday, August 11, 2009. Interment to be held at a later date in Fosters, Alabama.
