Lorene Krueger

Lorene "Laurie" Krueger passed away peacefully on May 3, 2018 at the age of 75. She was born March 17, 1943. Anyone who came to know her grew to love her because of her big heart and loving nature. Lorene loved serving others; she worked at Golden Corral for many years and owned her own restaurant; The Kountry Kitchen. Her love for gardening kept her active, even in the last few years while confined to a wheelchair. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Leonie Krueger; brother, Elroy; sister, Evelyn; sister-in-law, May Ann Krueger. She leaves behind her daughter, Jamie and beloved grand-daughter, Taylor. She also leaves behind a large extended family; brother, Melvin (Irene), Raymond, Walter (Barbara), Edmond (Lema), Johnny (Eileen), Tommy (Pam), Danny, Donny and sister Shirley (Randy). Lorene also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, along with extended family, the staff at Eden Hills Community, all of whom adored her. A visitation will be held Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 3:00PM - 7:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 10:00AM at Schertz Funeral Home with interment to follow at Redeemer United Church of Christ Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff of Eden Hills Retirement Community (Willows Unit) for their loving care over the past 8 years.
