Lorene Haecker

Lorene M. Haecker, of Zuehl, Texas, born on March 11, 1932, passed away on October 28, 2014, at the age of 82. Lorene worked most of her life as a secretary for several insurance companies and the Alice Roofing Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Elsa Haecker; brothers, Ray, Nelson and Richard Jr; sisters, Velma Aniol and Jeanette Dietert; brothers in law, Sonny Aniol and Douglas Stolleis. Survivors include her sisters, Betty (Buster) Strzelczyk, Vernell (Aaron) Theilengerdes, Myrtle Hild, and Genny Stolleis; brothers, Jock (Patsy) Haecker, and Clarence (Bernadette) Haecker; brother in law, Daniel Dietert; sister in laws, Jimmie Haecker and Netty Haecker Mooney; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. The pallbearers are Robert Strzelczyk, Michael Strzelczyk, Gary Haecker, Jeffrey Haecker, Terry Haecker, Jason Theilengerdes, David Stolleis, Waylon Haecker, Vance Hild, Chad Theilengerdes, Scott Dietert and Bradley Haecker. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 30, 2014, from 6:00PM-8:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014, at 11:00AM, at Redeemer United Church of Christ in Zuehl, Texas, Pastor Lee Zillmann officiating. Interment will follow at Redeemer United Church of Christ Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lorene's name to the Redeemer United Church of Christ or Heart to Heart Hospice, 1000 Central Parkway N, Suite 110, San Antonio, TX 78232. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Silver Tree Nursing Home and Heart to Heart Hospice.
