Lois Horch

December 24, 1924 — November 12, 2015

Lois Yvonne Horch, was born in Harlingen, TX on December 24, 1924, and passed away on November 12, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by Robert "Bob" Horch, her husband of 68 years, her sister Geraldine Reed and brother Robert King. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Germadnik and husband George, son Michael and wife Loy, son Thomas and wife Francis. Lois was a wonderfully caring grandmother to five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. During her life with Bob, a WWII Navy veteran and later Air force retiree, they lived in California, Oklahoma, England, Washington state, North Dakota, and Texas. Her infectious smile and self-less giving nature brightened the lives of everyone she knew or met. She will be sorely missed by her family and many friends, all of whom are better people for having had the opportunity to share in this beautiful woman's beautiful life. She is now at peace and eternally reunited with her beloved husband Bob. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the veterans' assistance organization of your choice. Funeral services will be at the Schertz Funeral Home on Monday, November 23, 2015. Visitation will be 12:00PM - 1:00PM, with a Memorial Service at 1:00PM, followed by interment at Fort Sam Houston at 2:30PM.
